During the summer of 2011 Serhat participated in Rays and worked on a project about influenza virus surface proteins. After Rays, he continued to work on his project and after over 500 hours in the lab environment, there was no doubt that he had found the right field for him, biotechnology. Today he is studying at KTH and has also been engaged in Scouterna and is currently president of one of Sweden’s largest scout groups. Besides his studies he teaches Mathematics in one of Stockholm’s major high schools.

Johan participated in Rays 2014 and performed research on the categorization of nerve cells in mice brains. After he completed his research project he wanted to delve more in the science of medicine and is now studying his second year at the Programme of Medicine at Karolinska Institutet. Johan has also participated and been engaged in Utställningen Unga Forskare. Aside from his studies he occupies his time by creating websites and graphic design, as well as partake in church activities.

After participating in Rays 2014, Klara exhibited her biomedical project in Utställningen Unga Forskare. There, she won a scholarship and had the opportunity to represent Sweden in the European Union Science Contest 2015. After graduation she worked for a year at Ericsson as a web developer and was responsible for the financing  of the exhibition Utställningen Unga Forskare. She is currently studying Engineering Physics at Uppsala Universitet. She has also been a study coach, participated in the mentor programme LinKl and played football since she was a child.

Lara participated in Rays 2014 with a project in quantum physics. Since then, she has been active in the research group she was given the opportunity to work with, and in doing so she has gained a valuable connection to science. She has studied mathematics and theoretical physics in the UK and is planning to go abroad again by autumn, but is now focusing on studies in physics at SU. On her free time she enjoys embroidery and drawing.
