Hampus participated in Rays 2014 with a project about quantum optics that opened his eyes to the exciting field of applied mathematics and physics. At the moment, he is studying his fourth year in Engineering Physics at Chalmers where he gets the opportunity to do what he is very passionate about – learning new things. Previously, Hampus has played table tennis on a high level and also trained younger players in the same sport. Apart from this, Hampus has also founded a science society at his former high school, aiming to spread his interest in science to others.

Hanéle participated in Rays 2016 where she made a project about nanocellulosa. She enjoyed it so much that she together with her supervisor continued to work with the project in one and a half year after Rays, which resulted in two published articles. After her participation in Utställningen Unga Forskare, she was inspired to engage in Unga Forskare och, therefore, was mentor to younger students and helped them with their first science project. She worked as an home care assistant and discovered an interest towards humans and medicine. Therefore, she now studies her first semester of medicine at Sahlgrenska in Gothenburg and is dreaming about doing research in medicine. The largest part of her spare time is devoted to singing in choir and being active in different student committees.

Saga participated in Rays 2016, where she worked in a project about X-ray Emission from an active galaxy. She has always had a large fascination about the space and her project at Rays resulted in a scholarship during 2017 for a trip to IAYC - international astronomical youth camp. Saga loves to solve complex problems and thinking in systems which have lead to a passion for politics and environmental issues. She have with her engagement been to three FN-conferences concerning environmental issues and climate. At the moments is she therefore studying to become an engineer in energy and environment at KTH. Before that was she practicing Judo at a high level and did earn both a black belt and medals at Swedish championships. Also, she was Judo trainer for several years and has been active in the international temperance movement.

During the summer of 2014 Jakob was part of Rays and worked on a project in theoretical physics. By being a student at Rays, his interest within the field was increased further and led to a new project at MAX-lab in Lund. Today, he studies Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Besides his interest in physics and mathematics his greatest passion is cooking, which has led to a job as a chef and a collection of over 60 cookbooks. Additionally, Jakob has done internships at an engineering firm in hydraulics, and also played football since the age of 4.
